Structural changes in mammary gland tissue of sows during lactation. Comparative studies on involution processes of the mammary gland

Structural changes in mammary gland tissue of sows during lactation. Comparative studies on involution processes of the mammary gland

Monatshefte fur Veterinarmedizin 32(6): 214-218

203 biopsy samples were taken from glandular compartments of the mammary complex of six sows during two lactation periods, the first at seven days after parturition and others at weekly intervals from right and left sides alternately. Histological data, including 9 photographs of udder tissue samples at various stages of lactation, describe involution processes.
