Studies on nodulated and mycorrhizal peanuts

Yields of fruits, plant size and chemical content of shoots, roots and seeds were higher in peanuts infected with Glomus mosseae. Infection with Glomus and Rhizobium stimulated nodulation and acetylene reduction rates. Dually infected plants given various phosphorus treatments produced more fruits, dry matter and nodules, and contained more phosphorus and nitrogen, compared with nodulated-only plants. Mycorrhizal infections were high in all treatments.
