In Japan, examination of 1,197 Rana nigromaculata and 320 R. rugosa revealed infection with Glypthelmins rugocaudata in 20 of 25 and 11 of 16 localities respectively. The incidence ranged from 5.0 to 100% in the former host and from 21.7 to 100% in the latter.
