In field experiments in 1973 at the Agricultural Experimental Station, Mosul University in which Gossypium hirsutum Cocker Welt was subjected to 4 combinations of different rates and frequencies of irrigation, the 2 schemes recommended were those where 4 basic applications of 200 cm water/donum every 7 days during the 1st month of planting were followed by 33 applications of 110 or 63 cm/donum every 3 days. These gave seed yields of 602 and 371 kg/donum, respectively.
