Studies on the purification and properties of tobacco vein-banding mosaic virus III. Multiplication of tobacco veinbanding mosaic virus in tobacco leaves of different stalk positions at different time after inoculation

Studies on the purification and properties of tobacco vein-banding mosaic virus III. Multiplication of tobacco veinbanding mosaic virus in tobacco leaves of different stalk positions at different time after inoculation

Bulletin of the Tobacco Research Institute Taiwan Tobacco and Wine Monopoly Bureau (5): 71-76

Glasshouse grown seedlings (cvs. Vam-Hicks and S.C. 72) kept at 25 deg C were inoculated with TVBMV and the virus conc. in leaves at different positions assayed on Lycium chinense. Virus was first detected in inoculated leaves of Vam-Hicks on the 3rd day; the conc. increased to a max. by the 11th day and slowly decreased. No virus was detected in the leaf above the inoculated one.
