Telenomus manolus Nixon, a potential egg parasite of groundnut red hairy caterpillar, Amsacta albistriga Walker

Telenomus manolus Nixon, a potential egg parasite of groundnut red hairy caterpillar, Amsacta albistriga Walker

Current Science 45(21): 775

Amsacta albistriga (Wlk.) is a serious pest of groundnuts in India, especially on crops grown in non-irrigated soil. During investigations in Tamil Nadu in August-October 1974 on its natural enemies, Telenomus manolus Nixon was recovered from its eggs in 5 localities; this species had not previously been recorded as an egg parasite of A. albistriga in any country.
