This paper analyses the production, distribution and consumption of frozen fruit and vegetables in nine European countries and in the United States. It emphasizes the rapid growth of demand during the sixties, the problems of the relationships between farmers and processors, the consequences of the high market concentration at distributing level and the development of international trade.
