The agrarian question in a national development strategy

The agrarian question in a national development strategy

Revue Algerienne des Sciences Juridiques, Economiques et Politiques 13(2): 287-306

A study is made of the socio-economic aspects of the agrarian sector as part of the national economic development objective of various developing countries. These countries are often characterized by a 'minifundia-Latifundia' structure, and the socio-economic constraints of this system are described. Land nationalization is thought to be a pre-requisite of rural development and agrarian reform, followed by the establishment of agricultural co-operation and state farms.
