The cytoplasmic male-sterile lines and their use in breeding for downy mildew resistance in pearl millet

The cytoplasmic male-sterile lines and their use in breeding for downy mildew resistance in pearl millet

3rd International Congress of the Society for the Advancement of Breeding Researches in Asia and Oceania SABRAO Plant Breeding Papers: 2-7 Sorghum, maize and millet breeding: 34-38

Information is presented on efforts to develop a number of Sclerospora-resistant, cytoplasmically male-sterile lines, including the semidwarf Pb111A and on its use in the breeding of resistant hybrids, including PHB10 (Pb111A X PIB155) and PHB14 (Pb111A X PIB228).
