The demand for vegetables in Belgium, based on panel data

, : The demand for vegetables in Belgium, based on panel data. Acta Horticulturae (77): 237-243

This study examines the influence of family size and composition on demand for vegetables and examines social and regional effects on consumption. In analyzing the demand for vegetables, family composition must be explicitly accounted for in the demand functions, or there will be specification bias. Results indicate that there is a social class and regional effect and that these need to be accounted for in the demand function.
