The effect of different soil conditions on the development of the root system of tea cultivars

Studies were carried out with tea cvs Nos 7, 8, 11 and 12 growing on derno-podzolic gley soil, brown forest soil or derno-podzolic soil. Data are tabulated on the effects of soil moisture, volume weight of soil, specific weight, pH, porosity and N, P2O5 and K2O and humus contents on root development in the 0-75 cm soil layer.
