In trials with tomatoes receiving 3 N levels (11, 22 or 44 kg/10a) and/or irrigation at soil pF 2.0, 2.3 or 2.6, the best growth and highest yields were obtained from plants receiving N at 44 kg/10a and irrigated at pF 2.0. Irrigation had a greater effect on yield than fertilization.
