Weed populations in sorghum, barley, Rhodes grass (Chloris gayana) and lucerne grown as reclamation crops under saline conditions were studied in a continuation of the work reported in WA 25, 1683. Portulaca oleracea occurred commonly on all plots but gradually disappeared under cropping and cutting. The use of farmyard manure leads to a significant build up of weeds.
