The effect of fat source on abomasal and ileal flow in the preruminant calf

Six bull calves with re-entrant cannulae were fed for 2 to 6 days on skimmed milk alone or with 30% of DM as butterfat, tallow or soya bean oil. The flow of digesta in abomasum and ileum over the next 24 h was affected by diet.
