The effect of pre-sowing (60Co) gamma-irradiation on radish (Raphanus sativus subvar. radicula) yields

Agrartudomanyi Egyetem Kozlemnyei 1974: 271-285

Radish seeds were irradiated at 1000 to 7500 rad and in laboratory grown plants determinations were made of fresh and dry weights, leaf:root ratio, root volume, root vitamin C and carbohydrate contents, flowering rate, seed yield/plant and 1000-seed weight. In field trials plants from irradiated seeds and their progeny in the following year were studied. The results are tabulated and graphically presented.
