The effect of the nitrogen fertilizer dose and the sowing rate on yield and yield components in winter-wheat varieties

In three years of trials at three rates of NPK application, all eight varieties involved produced their highest yields at the intermediate rate but the increase in yield was sufficient to offset the extra cost only in Grana and Eros. The lowest rate (40:36:40 kg/ha) was the optimum for all other varietes.
