The effect of trace elements on barley yield, trace-element uptake by the plant, and the content of available trace elements in the soil

In a multi-factorial model field experiment on a derno-podzolic soil Cu (as CuCl2) at 60-80 mg/0.2m3 of soil increased the grain yield of barley but ZnCl2 did not affect yield and MnCl2 decreased it. Increasing rates of Zn and Mn increased the available Cu content of the soil and Cu uptake by barley.
