Irrigation increased yields by 8-19% but slightly retarded the early crop. N + P2O5 + K2O at 600 kg/ha gave a 7% yield increase compared with 300 kg/ha but 900 kg/ha gave only marginally higher yields than 600 kg/ha. The Polan yielded more and the Lech less than the control, Monastyrski.
