The low level of industrialization of the food industry in Poland is noted. The industry is characterized by lack of adequate adjustment in some branches and areas of the country. The main strategic goals for the all round improvement in the food industry are outlined. These goals include: technical re-structuring, development of technology, improved social relations, adequate finance and improvements to the management process.
