The influence of some vitamin deficiencies of white mice on their susceptibility to infection by Trichinella spiralis

The influence of some vitamin deficiencies of white mice on their susceptibility to infection by Trichinella spiralis

Revista Iberica de Parasitologia 37(1/2): 73-80

In 30 mice deficient in vitamin E and inoculated with Trichinella spiralis, the same number of larvae became established in the muscles as in mice on a normal diet. In 30 mice deficient in pantothenic acid, almost the same number of larvae became established in the muscles, but the adult worms lived longer in the intestine.
