The influence of storage temperature and 2-chloroethylphosphonic acid (ethephon) on shoot elongation and flowering in tulips

"Five-degree" (5 deg C) pre-cooling of bulbs of the cvs Paul Richter and Apeldoorn was compared in dry and wet storage conditions. No significant difference in shoot growth and flowering date was obtained after dry and wet pre-cooling.
