The influence of various rootstocks on the morphological changes in Italian Prune flowers

Italian Prune scions were grown on Italian Prune and Prunus divaricata rootstocks and on 19 other rootstocks of plum. Measurements of the length of the stamens and pistils of Italian Prune flowers showed that these varied according to the rootstock used.

Rootstocks had a significant influence on time of fruit ripening.
