The performance of competing apple production areas evaluated by wholesalers - a case-study for the sales area of the Niederelbe (West Germany)

, : The performance of competing apple production areas evaluated by wholesalers - a case-study for the sales area of the Niederelbe (West Germany). Acta Horticulturae (77): 267-277

The following criteria of performance rating are decisive for wholesalers: quality, reliability of deliveries, price, prepacking, and delivery time. Thus the hypothesis that the kind of physical distribution is one of the most important factors in influencing efficiency is confirmed.
