Examination of farm results shows that the highest family income - 2300 mk/ha - in the 1976 financial year was found on 10-20 ha. farms in south Finland. Farms with over 30 ha. in North and South Finland have nearly as good a result. Differences in operating potential between North and South have to some extent been balanced out by government policy measures.
