A review of the quantity and distribution of waste wood in the industry in Hungary in 1971-73 (with estimates for 1980 and 1990) and the theory and practice of utilization of waste wood (including bark). The most promising lines of development are processing into secondary raw materials and the production of agglomerated boards of various types. Other possibilities are chemical utilization, fuel, soil amelioration, and production of fodder and foodstuffs, especially by the Pekilo process.
