Yield and tree girth variability in some Cola nitida populations

Variability in yields of 2 cola populations (Oyoko White and Oyoko Red), established from seeds, was attributed to several factors, including self and cross compatibility, efficiency of natural pollination and the biennial or triennial bearing habit. In another study with 3 cola populations (Bunso White, Kumasi White and Kade Red) trunk girth variability was determined.
