A peculiar form of staphylococcal infection in chickens

The infection, which occurred in one poultry farm, affected hens 60-75 days of age, and caused high mortality. PM examinations showed haemorrhagic lesions in subcutaneous connective tissue and muscles, moist gangrene or necroses of the skin of the wings, infrequently in other places.
