A pilot study for an integrated pest management approach to blackbird control involving the Departments of Plant Breeding and Biometry, Natural Resources and Plant Pathology

Tabulated data on percentage ear damage are presented for early and medium-early maize hybrids in trials at Canton and Montour, New York, in 1978. Good coverage of the ear by the husk contributed to the protection of some varieties but was not the major factor accounting for varietal differences in damage.
