Bearing behaviour and fruit quality of south Indian varieties of mango in northern India

Indian Journal of Horticulture 34(4): 372-376

Data on twelve physical and chemical characters are presented for the fruit from twelve-year-old plants of twelve varieties. Alphonso was the best, exhibiting the highest total soluble solids and sugar contents, the lowest acid content and good flavour. Content of soluble solids and sugar contents were positively correlated. Studies were carried out on 12-year-old plants of 12 mango cvs.
