Breeding for multiple resistance to PVY, late blight, common scab and wart in Andigena potatoes

Breeding for multiple resistance to PVY, late blight, common scab and wart in Andigena potatoes

American Potato Journal 54(10): 506-507

When 45 group Andigena clones were evaluated for resistance to four disease-causing organisms, 59.6% were resistant to potato virus Y, 7.7% were resistant to Phytophthora infestans, 11.7% were resistant to Streptomyces scabies and 68.5% were resistant to Synchytrium endobioticum; no clone was resistant to all four pathogens, while 6.7, 40.0 and 44.4%, respectively, were resistant to three, two and one of the pathogens.
