Characteristics of Cold Acclimation and Deacclimation in Tuber-bearing Solanum Species

Characteristics of Cold Acclimation and Deacclimation in Tuber-bearing Solanum Species

Plant Physiology 65(6): 1146-1148

Twenty four tuberous species are classified into five groups according to their cold resistance. The most resistant species, following hardening, was S. commersonii, and before hardening, S. acaule. Hardening at below 12 deg C increased the cold resistance of some resistant but no sensitive species.
