The Africa Bureau has operated in Ghana since November 1975. Its programmes concentrate on two major adult education institutions (1) People's Educational Association, is a unique voluntary national adult education association which gets assistance from the Bureau for running workshops and the development of novel adult education projects which generate income or promote the welfare of rural dwellers, and (2) the Institute of Adult Education.
