, : Delaying of flowering in apricots by ethephon and abscisic acid. Acta Horticulturae (80): 219-224

Spraying with 2000 or 4000 p.p.m. ethephon in autumn delayed flowering of 6 Turkish apricot cvs by several days, but induced undesirable side effects such as gummosis, leaf abscission and bud drop, particularly at the higher concentration. Abscisic acid injected into the branches before bud swelling stopped the opening of flower buds and delayed opening of leaf buds on cut twigs.
