Four clones were studied in a phytotron in hot (32 deg C) or cool (22 deg C) conditions. The clones comprised separately males and females of the two chemotypes where (i) tetrahydrocannabinol (pentyl-THC) or (ii) tetrahydrocannabivarol (prophyl-THC) predominated. At both temperatures, female propyl-THC plants could be distinguished from the rest of the material by longer internodes. At 22 deg C, higher contents of pentyl-THC were observed than at 32 deg C, especially in male plants.
