In trials with potatoes on derno-podzolic clay loam soil in Belorussia, application of 90 kg N + 90-120 kg P2O5 + 90-120 kg K2O/ha with (30 t/ha) or without FYM gave tuber yields of 22.5-25 t/ha with yield increases of 17-30 kg tubers/kg NPK, of which 58, 22 and 20% were ascribed to the application of N, P and K, resp. Fertilizers increased DM, CP and amino acid contents of the tubers without decreasing starch contents.
