, : Effect of gibberellic acid on seed germination of some vegetable and medicinal plants. Acta Horticulturae (73): 131-136

Soaking seeds in solutions of 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 p.p.m. GA3 before sowing improved germination of 7 species (parsnip, Ammi visnaga, celery, Datura innoxia, Atropa belladonna, Digitalis lanata and lavender) of 14 vegetable, essential oil and medicinal species tested. Lavender and Atropa responded particularly well, germination being accelerated as well as increased; the optimum GA3 concentrations were 1000 and 500 p.p.m., respectively, for the 2 crops.
