, : Effect of plant population densities on yield of onion in the Sudan Gezira. Acta Horticulturae (84): 85-90

Three between ridge spacings of 50, 60 and 70 cm, 1 and 3 rows/ridge and with in-row spacing of 5, 10 and 15 cm were compared for two seasons. Between ridge spacings did not affect yield or yield components. Increasing the number of rows/ridge increased total yield and decreased average bulb weights, percentage of large bulbs, doubles and bolters.
