The levels of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe and Mn were determined in leaves sampled in August in 2 successive years from trees of many apple rootstock/scion combinations. The rootstock influenced the leaf contents of N, K, Ca, Fe and Mn. The affected the contents of all nutrients except Fe, but there was little difference in leaf composition between spur-type and normal strains of the same (with Delicious and Golden Delicious).
