Effect of the ratio of energy to protein on growth of meat chickens kept in batteries

Effect of the ratio of energy to protein on growth of meat chickens kept in batteries

Lucrari Stintifice, Institutul Agronomic, Iasi, II: 27-28

To 56 days old 3 groups of 66 male and female meat chickens in batteries were given a diet based on maize, wheat and soya bean oilmeal. The diet was given so that the ratio of metabolizable energy in kcal/kg:1% crude protein was 124 and 143 from hatching to 35 days and 36 to 56 days for the first group, 112, 144 and 167 from hatching to 14, 15 to 35 and 36 to 56 days for the second and 124 and 143 from hatching to 28 and 29 to 56 days for the third.
