Effect of treatments with gibberellic acid on fruit setting in pear

, : Effect of treatments with gibberellic acid on fruit setting in pear. Acta Horticulturae (80): 139-141

GA3 at 5-200 p.p.m. was applied during full bloom to trees of the pear cvs Arabitka, Beurre Bosc, Clapp's Favourite, Glou Morceau, Teli Esperes and Williams' Bon Chretien. Fruit set was greatly reduced in the naturally parthenocarpic Arabitka whereas in most years GA3 increased fruit set in the other cvs.
