Effect of various non-genetic factors on milk yield and lactation length in Indian buffaloes



Indian Journal of Dairy Science 31(4): 321-325



4963 lactation records of buffaloes at 11 farms, adjusted for the effects of farm and season of calving, were investigated. Age of calving had a positive, significant effect on milk yield up to the 3rd lactation, and body weight at calving and length of the preceding service period significantly affected milk yield to the 5th and 4th lactations resp.
