Effect of zinc-phosphate on grain yield of maize grown on calcareous chernozem soil

In trials with maize on calcareous chernozem soils, application of 60-250 kg P2O5/ha increased the proportion of chlorotic plants to 39-42% and decreased the grain yields by 18-24%; application of zinc-phosphate fertilizers at 1.5 kg Zn/ha completely eliminated the symptoms of chlorosis and increased growth and leaf area.
