Effects of several types of dietary fibers on lipid content in liver and plasma, nutrient retentions and plasma transaminase activities in force-fed growing chicks

Effects of several types of dietary fibers on lipid content in liver and plasma, nutrient retentions and plasma transaminase activities in force-fed growing chicks

Journal of Nutrition 110(6): 1112-1121

Lipid content and lipid composition of liver and plasma, nutrient retention and plasma transaminase activity were estimated in White Leghorn male chickens that were force-fed for 13 days on a purified high-energy diet with or without additional dietary fibre (DF). Six types of DFs, cellulose-A and -B, rice hull, rice hull NDF (neutral detergent fibre), lucerne meal and groundnut hull NDF, and a synthetic fibre, polyamide, were added at 4% to each test diet.
