Abstract
In feeding trials at Gemmaiza, Egypt in 1975, the voluntary DM intake of 4 successive cuts of elephant grass by Friesian bull calves (wt. 297-310 kg) was 2.13, 2.61, 2.49 and 2.33 kg/100 kg body wt. Corresponding values per unit metabolic body wt. were 88.83, 108.9, 104.5, and 98.12g/kg W0.75.
