Evaluation of the quality of dried milks and milk feed mixtures produced in Slovakia

Evaluation of the quality of dried milks and milk feed mixtures produced in Slovakia

Zbornik Prac Vyskumneho Ustavu Mliekarskeho v Ziline za roky 1975-1976: 55-63

In studies of the quality of dried whole and skim milks and milk feed mixtures, during 1975-1976, samples taken 2X/month from all plants in Slovakia were tested on reception and then again after 6 months' storage at laboratory temp. Bulk density of dried milks ranged from 0.519 to 0.619 g/cm3, indicating increased proportions of large particles in the products. After 6 months' storage the milks were satisfactory organoleptically and did not exhibit any detectable changes.
