Twenty-three Aegilops and Triticum species were crossed and back crossed with pollen of each of twelve 6x wheats, including Chinese Spring, the crossing programme being incomplete at the time of publication. Fifteen traits were measured in plants of each nucleus/cytoplasm combination, and the effects of each cytoplasm on growth and fertility are listed briefly.
