Geographical differentiation of Urals populations of Picea obovata in seed progeny

Geographical differentiation of Urals populations of Picea obovata in seed progeny

Lesovedenie (1): 21-26

Seedlings aged one and two years derived from seed from 43 sites in Perm', Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk and Tyumen' provinces and the Udmurt and Bashkir ASSR were raised under uniform conditions with three replications in random blocks. Interpopulational variation was detected for several traits. The most vigorous populations, with the greatest height increment, were from west of the Urals.
