In studies with stored wheat, soyabeans, sorghum and maize, temp. inside bagged grain increased to room temp. within 2 wk, there were no significant losses in test wt. between aerated and unaerated grain nor change in grade or visual appearance and wheat milling yields were not drastically decreased. Moulds appeared to grow in high storage temp. at low m.c./RH equilibria, suggesting that currently recommended safe m.c. for stored grain required more research.
