High-quality newly bred lines of winter bread wheat

In a study of twelve lines using Avrora and Sadovo 1 as standards, three groups were distinguished: (1) lines with high yields, high protein and lysine contents and good baking quality, viz. 504-18, 504-7, 504-1, 334-7 and 609-60; (2) lines with high yield, high protein and lysine contents but less good baking quality, viz. 335-4, 494-10 and 504-8; and (3) lines with good baking quality, high protein content but fairly low yields, viz. 357-6, 265-5, 317-121 and 504-21.
