High-yielding new maize hybrid, Suweon, 29, resistant to maize rough dwarf virus

Suweon 29, from KS15 X KS16, is a yellow-grained variety, about 10 cm shorter than Suweon 19 and resistant to lodging. It has good general resistance to maize rough dwarf virus (MRDV) and Fusarium roseum as well as having genes for resistance to race 0 of Helminthosporium maydis (Cochliobolus heterostrophus) and Ht1A for resistance to H. turcicum Flowering and maturity are a few days later than for Suweon 19.
